Gospel Paul Preached

The Gospel Paul preached made people ask in Rom 6:1, “Shall I continue in sin that grace may abound?” The “gospel” I was taught never made me ask that question. With that being said… The word Gospel means: Good News. The Good News is your sins are paid for ONE time forever. Hebrews 10:12 says, “But this man, after he had offered ONE sacrifice for sins FOREVER, sat down on the right hand of God.” Now you’re asking; “what does that mean?” It means sins are paid for. You past, present, and future sins are forgiven one time forever 2000 years ago.

Now that we know sin is paid for according to Hebrews, we can establish that sin is not an issue with God. How can you say that Mark? In 2 Corinthians 5:19 Paul says, “God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, NOT IMPUTING their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” As you can see God was in Christ NOT imputing sin. WOW! That’s a tremendous statement by Paul. Let’s see another verse on this: David prophesied by the Holy Spirit in Psalm 32:2, “Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall NOT impute sin.”

Where am I going with this? Well most churches are so busy imputing sin to people when God Himself isn’t doing it.

Hang in there with me. Religious people say, “You have to go to church, pay your tithes, read your bible, pray, etc…” These are the same thing other religions do too. Muslims pray 3 times a day, give time and money, and die for their god. Also Buddhist does the same. Every religion bases their salvation on what they do. When they stand before God they will give a list of things they did (Matt 7:21-23). BUT a true born again Christian who knows the Gospel (Good news) will proclaim; “It’s NOTHING I DID, rather it was everything Jesus did.

God’s wrath was satisfied on the cross. Isaiah 53:11 says, “He (Holy God) shall see the labor of His (Jesus’) soul, and be SATISFIED. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.” The good works we do are fruit of our relationship with Jesus. These things happen because we receive His love. I pray, go to church, give, read, etc. because I fell in Love with Love. God is Love.

Paul says in Romans 5:1, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

A quick definition of “justified” is: just as if I’d never sinned. When God looks at you He sees Jesus if you are born again. Sin isn’t going to send you to hell, the rejection of the One who paid for your sins will take you there.

People say, “Well Mark, you’re making light of sin! And I tell them, “You’re making light of Jesus!” God is much bigger than sin.

So Mark, are you saying we can just live in sin and grace will abound? God forbid!!! (Rom 6:1) If you serve sin then sin is your master. A true Christian is not looking for a way to indulge in sin; they’re looking for a way to overcome sin. 1 John 3:3 says, “And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” If a person takes what I’m saying and says: “Alright!! We can accept Jesus and live like the devil; and do whatever we want and be saved!” The person who says that needs to be born again, and experience the true love of God.

When a person truly experiences the love of God; they will live more holy on an accident, rather than trying too.
